Uplift Families. Strengthen Midwifery. Lower Healthcare Costs.
IMPROVING MATERNAL AND INFANT HEALTH SINCE 2020
The United Birth Coalition was formed to achieve the mission of increasing access to midwifery care for mothers and babies across the Midwest. We have been working at a grassroots level ever since, changing the legislation and building a network of providers to make it easier for mothers and their babies to get the care they need and deserve through pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
BRIDGING GAPS THROUGH EDUCATION
We will achieve our mission when birth education and options are available to everyone. By providing resources for parents and educational opportunities for midwives, we inch closer to our goal of safer births for everyone.

“When a woman births, not only is a baby being born but so is a mother.
How we treat her will affect how she feels about herself as a mother
and as a parent. Be gentle. Be kind. Listen.”

We have been working hard to make changes in support of mothers and babies in our great state
BUT WE STILL HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO AND WE COULD USE YOUR HELP.
Join our Board
Our Board of Directors continues to grow and we need people from various backgrounds and with differing skill sets to continue to work towards our goals as an organization. Inquire about joining our board if you feel you would like to contribute to the overall direction of our organization.
Donate to our Mission
Through donations as a network sponsor or a UBC member, your donations will fund our lobbying efforts to change legislation in support of midwifery care and birth center operations.
Volunteer your time
We host regular fundraising and educational events to support our lobbying efforts and provide educational resources to midwives and providers across the state. We would love to have you on our list of volunteers for when we need extra help at our events.
